Job Description

We seek a dynamic and motivated Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This role focuses on selling our cutting-edge Vocareum Cloud labs and Gen AI products to Universities, higher education institutions, and various other channel partners. As an Account Executive, you will be vital in expanding our client base by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and helping educational institutions implement technology solutions and improve student outcomes. 


Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and lead generation: Identify and engage potential customers through research, networking, and triaging inbound leads. 
  • Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, such as IT Directors, administrators, and university faculty.
  • Product knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Vocareum products, including features, benefits, and how they address the unique needs of higher education institutions. 
  • Pipeline management: Manage and update sales pipeline, track opportunities, and ensure timely follow-up with prospects
  • Collaboration with sales, marketing, support, and engineering teams: Work closely with sales leadership on other teams to strategize on opportunities and share best practices. 
  • Quota attainment: Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales targets and KPIs. 


Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a strong self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to achieving goals.
  • 4+ years of sales experience in the higher education sector. 
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and align product solutions to address their needs
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and sales automation tools. 
  • Willing to collaborate with other teams and contribute to the overall team’s success. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering field 
  • Professional experience in the SaaS, technology, or Artificial Intelligence domain. 
  • Familiarity with university processes such as student information systems, campus operations, or learning management systems
  • Experience with SaaS sales, particularly in B2B.

Vocareum is headquartered in San Jose, CA. Employees based in HQ are expected to be in the office a minimum of two days per week. This position is open to being fully remote if based outside of the Bay Area.


Annual Salary Range: Base $100,000 - $120,000 Plus Commission (OTE $200,000+) USD
